Greetings Earthlings.

The name’s Jess. I’m 19, diagnosed since childhood but only discovered this website recently.

My username is both a reference to my love of computers (I’m studying computer science!) and a metaphor for masking; running Windows on a Mac technically works but - being a completely different operating system to what Macs are used to - can lead to issues later on.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Funnily enough, I have windows 7 running on an old mac Mini... which is quite happy and surprisingly responsive.

Way back when I was 19 I also studied Computer Science... but that was umm 95, well before you were born.... Hmmmm...

Speaking of Mac Minis I went to a hotel last weekend to get some free furniture from renovations, and didn't get the furniture, but picked up some e-waste for free instead! 49 mac minis (12yo models, but still).

Very cool and serendipitous for a project I was considering, and much newer than the two older mac minis (one with Win7) I already had. Yay! :jester:

Welcome to Wrong Planet. Macs are good computers. That is my main computer. Long ago I had developed a good friendship with Commodore Amiga computers.
