I find it annoying when people try showing me videos from their social media accounts. 9/10 it's usually not funny. A friend does this all the time but tends to wonder why I never react. I especially hate it when it's a clip from a show with game footage under it.

It is one of the differences between NTs and NDs. Some NDs such as those with Asperger's Syndrome (Aspies for short) think much deeper then NTs.

When I have a conversation among a group of people, I noticed that the conversation will last for about a minute and then they will move onto another topic. When I finally decide I would like to contribute to the conversation I am out of phase. They have moved onto one topic, then another topic, then another topic, and they look at me trying to figure out what I am saying.

Some NTs only laugh a very shallow thoughts. They can laugh at anything.

Definitely not just you. I feel the same when the video is about something I'm not interested in, or if it is lengthy. I personally feel like there is some aspect of performance in these interactions because the person typically sends the video with the expectation of a response/reaction. Other times it could be the person thought of you when they saw the video, so they sent it to show that you are on their mind. I usually ignore the videos my DnD group sends to our group chat, but if it catches my eye I will watch. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Maybe have an open conversation with friend if they bring up your lack of response again? Something like "I struggle to sit through these videos because they aren't super engaging for me/my interests" or "I'm really picky about my memes" should suffice.

Humans like to share their interests with their close people, so I try to keep this into perspective.
