If you manage to get the AAH on the grounds of mental/intellectual disability, you are also taking the risk to be put under guardianship.

Welcome here !

(Je poste en anglais pour que tout le monde puisse comprendre).
Sparkplugloy is my nickname on here (I did not use rock when I registered on WP) ; I hope that you will enjoy the site. I have been a member for quite a while now, and I really like it.

This is great that you could go to the first step towards diagnosis in such a small time. Do you know when the next one will be ? Will you go there and get diagnosed officially ? I agree with what was said before. I looked for some more info about indemnisation after we talked. Once you are diagnosed, you can get something (it is the AAH or something like that) if the COTOREP decides your handicap is important enough. But you must check that you can still work because this is never a very high sum (less than the SMIC). And employers will not always accept you if you are registered at the COTOREP.

Now, we share common interests (I did not know you watch C dans l'air, by the way).

Salut

Oh cool, a Francophone. I am currently taking French 4th semester in college after a 17 year absence. I can't speak a word of it. Only 6 classes so far. Perhaps I will improve by the end of next month.

Because I am not fluent in French (am learning Spanish and Elvish), I shall proceed to greet the newcomer in English. ;) Welcome and well met, fellow aspie.

You said you've read Orwell? Have you read Animal Farm? I want to read it because I just finished 1984 and really enjoyed it. :) Cheerio!

Hi Guillaume,

I can't watch Les Guignols de l'info, but I can and I do watch C dans l'air...when I remember to watch it. I don't watch TV so much these days because I'm addicted to Morrowind.

Bonjour, Vejita.

J'étudie l'Allemand maintenant et j'ai appris français aussi. Mais je suis fluent dans ni.

Pour ceci, je triche et utilise un traducteur de langage un peu, lol.

For those who parlez no Francais, a translation: http://www.freetranslation.com/

Hello Vejita! I lived in Paris during the age of 5, but I can't remember any French. I occasionally go back for holidays though. Welcome!

...why do I get the feeling that I had to work a lot harder to do mine than anyone else did? Ah well, I'll bet you don't know that one, so I guess it's worth it!

Hi there, pleased to meet you! Hope you enjoy WrongPlanet!

Thank you all...

to spark : f**k the work ! I already had job experiences, and it always was a nightmare for my colleagues, they said I was "disconnected" "weird'' and stuff, and even while trying to make efforts, I could NOT cope with my habits, which with the recoil i can see now they're fully Aspie trademark... so, or else the gov gives me money, or else I will use my Aspie gifts such as computer knowledge to work !against! the NT society. And we should all do the same... I can't even imagine how it is to be a non-NT in anglo-saxons country. You have no free health, so how can you afford the shrink, medications, therapies... ? If you can't work like me, and if you get no welfare nor healthcare money, how can you survive ? and plus, some areas in the USA are particularly sensible / dangerous to live for people who are outside the mainstream, physically or mentally speaking...

Fiddler, if you're not Aspie... then what are you ? You don't sound NT in your words (and it's a compliment, from my point of view)

Namiko: of course, I read the Animal Farm... It's frightening... "All animals are equals... but there are some animals than are more equals than the others...'' brrr... I read Orwell ( which real name was "Eric Blair" ! ! ) was autistic, you know...

to spark again: it's thanks to you I spared much times, i followed what you told me on MSN, i phoned the CRA, got an appointment two weeks after where I brought my school notes and stuff thanks to you, which was really really helpful, and im going to see the schrink again soon. I will be officialy diagnosed before you... It's really shocking to see once again how Paris is advantaged over province on public services and administration...
