Ahoj,
I am Šárka, 19y from Slovakia (but it happens I study medicine in Czech Republic, so I spend more lifetime here than at home )

So for the start, why have I decided to join..?
I´m nor officially diagnosed so I am not really sure if I have AS or not. Due to our low-quality level of medical care and knowledge here in Slovakia, the majority of our clinical psychologists and psychiatrists just don´t know about Asperger´s syndrome. (The truth is I have been to clinical psychologist once but she only said I was a highly-sensitive child ) So I myself got known about AS only one month ago (from my mother who studies kind of psychology and ahe said I might have it). But I didn´t want to admit that all the problems I had have before have a NAME because according to my policy, when you name a problem, you practically accept it as a part of you.

Though, when I am reading facts about AS or other peope who have it, I just feel like it was about me. BUT there are many symptomes that aren´t shown by me, for example I really am sympathetic enough with other people, though I´ve always had problems with socialising into groups/classes etc. The thing that made me the most interested in AS was that the people with AS tend to be interested very passionately in some things about which they still talk and have to get know everyting possible about it. That´s what works for me either and my classmates have always think if it as some my oddity.(I have been interested in Placebo, W.A.Mozart, ancient culture, psychiatry, religions,London(though I have never been there )-it made me even learn English language myself! , parapsychology, periodical table in chemistry, now it´s neuroanatomy and gay kinematography).

I also had big OCD problems when I was kid and that depression in adolescence. I´ve always wanted to belong somewhere but the results were everytime the same-the disappointed me just had to each time find out that it doesn´t work and that there isn´t any group for me, because I could just pretend and try how much I wanted to be like them and persuade myself that "this finally is my group of people" but I guess I didn´t find any satisfaction in it.
The same was for my hobbies- neither of them (except psychiatry) was persisting longer that the one I had before And that´s what is making me problems in my present situation and that´s the thing which makes me interested more in AS. Now, I got to the school I always wanted to go, but the motivation just faded away and I don´t intend to be the selfish dandled jerk who just isn´t interested anymore, just because his passion faded and he got what he wanted...well,now it´s been a little rough... And the next thing which is annoying me for long time- although other people (and well, myself sometimes too ) consider me being attractive and very pretty, good companion etc. I just can´t have any intimate relationship. (and I haven´t ever been looking for any, that´s true). The look at someone´s body makes me scared and I just don´t feel comfortable with it. The same for touching onther people or vice versa. And well..I don´t feel like letting someone into my personal space...

okay I suppose that was enough and I definitely ain´t gonna bore you with this stuff any longer, so..I guess for now it was enough and I feel a bit relieved that I signed in and it maybe will help to get know something about myself
