My handwriting looks like a third grader's handwriting. God I hate my handwriting.

r, v, and n all look the same. And my t's can sometimes look like f's. My handwriting is odd looking, and I write too fast for my own good sometimes.

I find writing very very difficult. I managed to get through main street school with very slow and bad handwriting but naturally it held me back massivly from what I could of done could I write properly. My writing is sort of readable if you take some time to figure out what my letters are.

One term in elementary school, I got a "less than satisfactory" mark on my report card in penmanship. Was so upset that right then I began consciously/intentionally writing neatly & have done so ever since. I have different kinds of handwriting, including a not-so-readable scribble for things only I need to be able to decode. Eventually learned to not waste the muscle tension & fingertip numbness on unimportant stuff, save the effort of good-looking script for what others will see.
Also, I hold the utensil "wrong", according to teachers (in 1st grade) who tried to make me change. Hard to explain in words: Other people put pointer finger (and thumb) on pen and other 3 fingers are behind pen. I hold pen w/2 fingers (and thumb) on front/top, and 2 fingers behind/below pen. I get the "writer's bump" callus on my ring finger instead of on my middle finger. Teachers used special triangular wedge of rubber that fits around barrel of pencil, to try to alter my habits-didn't work. Wonder if my odd pencil posture contributes to my hand cramps, or if it would be just as bad had I been doing it their way.

I struggled with my handwriting for years before I was diagnosed. I took courses in it, did hundreds of worksheets. I was teased and reprimanded many times. The result: if I write very, very slowly, I have beautiful script. But if I have to think while writing, or if I have to do it at all quickly--notes, for example--I'm back where I started.

After I was diagnosed, I realized I have serious disgraphia, and it ain't likely gonna change. So I adapted. I type everything now. Much better! :D

My handwriting's really really small so I used to get complaints from all my teachers telling me to write so they could read it. I guess my writings good, it's only a little hard to read because my "w's" look like "o's" sometimes - or upside down "n's". If I write really fast my "r's" and "v's" also look similar. But I like it :)

My handwriting kind of looks like the font Minstral, if any of you have ever seen it. It is kind of small, part way between cursive and printing and barely legible.

I get the computer to type all tests because teachers graded me down so much in HS for bad handwriting.

Well, for me it depends on 1) the writing utensil and 2) my mood, but generally I write in cursive now and I think it's pretty. My manuscript has steadily declined due to the fact that I hardly use it anymore. Since I'm at school now (), I'll scan samples of my handwriting once I get home.
