I am 26 and I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome 2 years ago. I have one son who is 5 and has autism. My biggest problems are expressive and receptive language. Scratch that. My biggest problem lies in the unwillingness of other people to take the time to understand what I am trying to say. I find people assume that talking equals communication and they are unwilling to meet me part way even when they are aware of my difficulties.
