Apart from the stupid PPR section and the pointless "what's the time?" threads, the site seems so inactive, and sometimes a subforum can be dead for days (like it would say "last posted here - [date that was 5 days ago]". It seems most people are only interested in arguing about (American) politics here. I know people have their lives to live but these days so many people are reliant on the internet and spend a lot of time looking at their phones, that you'd have thought there'd be more activity going on here.

And you can't tell me Aspies here have gone on to use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, because usually Aspies complain about popular social media sites and end up deleting their accounts. I use Facebook but personally I prefer to stick to this site to talk about my problems, especially Asperger's, because it's where I can be anonymous and less likely to get hacked into than on popular social media sites. (Yes I know it can happen here but I think it's more damaging and risky if your Facebook account is hacked into, and it's more likely too).

There's plenty going on here, in my view.

My complaint would be more along the lines of "the same old stuff" is being discussed all the time.

It's more an "emphasis," though. There's stuff being discussed in General all the time.

When rational, reasoning people are "shouted down" and crowded out from interesting discussions by the same half-dozen trollish individuals whom the moderators usually ignore, that makes the rest of us reluctant to join in any discussions or even start new threads.

Just looking at how long certain sub boards remain idle, I'd definitely say this is the deadest I've ever seen it here, I doubt there are much more than 150 core users at this point.

I'm surprised you think it is that high.

Kierkegaard said he was such a polemecist that he was only in his element in total effing war.

You cant empathise with that?
