In any event, your password on WP should not match your password anywhere else.

In fact, you shouldn't use the same password in any two different places online.

P.S. I will note that my WP profile has my approximate birthday. I only use that as my birthday on WP. That almost correct birthday is now being shown for me elsewhere on the Internet. Since WP does not have my full name the leak could be my ISP, however.

I see a locked padlock in my address url for this site so yes it is secured.

Also just don't use the same password every site you go to and you're good. Just as long as there is no banking information here and your card information, you have little to worry about. Only way someone will hack your account here and post inflammatory things here would be someone who knows you, someone who had a vendetta against you, not some rando doing it because they only target sites with personal information where they can steal your identity, not target forums like this where there isn't any personal info stored.

I would not post anything on this or any other forum unless I would be comfortable seeing it published on the front page of the New York Times next to my full name and picture. If you are really into privacy and security invest in some books on PGP and GnuPG.
