Blog function sucks

Hey...I wanted to start writing a blog here to reach out with my thoughts and so on.
Seems like the format is very tricky.
When I've finished to write and click add new entry the post comes like a simple grey box without any possibility to confirm or anything. When clicking again on Edit my blog/journal I just see an empty post and when I click on it to edit it's just empty...what I wrote before is just gone!?
Seriously, do I have to create an empty blog post and go in the EDIT to write what I really want?!
If so, why this complicated form??
