I'm a forest creature.
I need a rich, diverse ecosystem to thrive.
That may be why WP "growing wild" in absence of an administrator felt like home to me.
Here, I have met enormous diversity of people, from all possible backgrounds, each with unique history influenced by a unique combination of places, people, health situation and other countless factors that makes the perspective of each of us so special. I have learned dozens of points of view I couldn't have learned elsewhere.
I was ready to dedicate my time and energy to tending to this diversity, putting my effort into keeping inevitable conflicts on a healthy level.
Now I feel like the owner has come back and he wants a nice lawn on his frontyard. It's his right. There is nothing wrong in wanting a neat, fashionable garden on your own property.
But a tended garden can't be home for jungle creatures.
I hereby withdraw my application to wrongplanet.net moderator team. Now I see why I'm not suitable for the job.
Not so sure I'd call it a "tended garden": More like a farm where everyone is equal...But some more equal than others.
I REALLY cannot see what is so difficult about following (or enforcing) simple rules such as no making attacks on groups of people or on individuals, nor requiring evidence to be produced at the time of making any statements against another member (such as them being a racist, etc.).
It also isn't helped when members intentionally mischaracterize this issue as:

BTW aren't we getting crucified now for saying anything at all about Trump voters given the high sensitivity of some WP members?
While it's disappointing that those who have retracted their moderator applications\declined offers have done so (being that I believe they woud have helped to provide the balance that has been sorely lacking), I can also see how their acceptance of the offers could have been seen as an endorsement of what has been occurring here.
Hopefully there's a forest somewhere out there where animals are welcomed and accepted for (or depite) their differences, not attacked as a result of them, but I can see it's not here (at least at the present time), where being different simply makes you a target (somewhat ironic in a site designed for people who are "different").
