Maintenence people are working on the fire alarm, so if it goes off, please regard.

Do you hate these kind of announcements?

No I wouldn't really care.

I was cleaning a church when they were testing the alarm but I didn't know it. I was cleaning the little nook where they have a coffee pot and a sink when suddenly there was this loud crackling noise and flashing white lights. It sounded just like a live downed power line would sound. I practically fell down.

No. It's better than an unexpected alarm. Besides I don't have a problem with loud sounds like that. It's multiple sounds that bother me, especially too much talking.

So you'd just have to sit in class and tolerate the sound? Sounds like a nightmare.

Since our school, along with most British schools, aren't equipped with those intercom things so we're either told by our teachers or in assembly.

I wouldn't mind it so much if it wasn't the fact they have to do it every month!
