relatively easy to change high school classes first week

As compared to the rest of the time, where it almost takes an Act of Congress because it's perceived as some kind of criticism of the teacher. When in fact, it's simply not be the class for you at this particular time.

So, maybe the idea of almost having a backup class mentally rolling around your mind the first week. And what you like about that class, rather than what you don't like about the class that you're transferring out of. And undersell. Again, the first week it's relatively easy. Often, all you have to do is ask.

From my own high school career years ago: government could be taken in either 11th or 12th grade, health could be taken a wide variety of years, you didn't have to take science every year in 11th or 12th, etc.
