That depends on your definition of "succeed in life", which is very personal.

For most of the common definitions, it definitely helps.

For some definitions (like being a doctor) it's required.

Not necessarily, but it can really help. But ultimately it depends on what you want to do. I am interested in scientific research, so I've always known I've needed to go to college. What are you interested in?

ahh the wonders of powerchair dealers / strap dealers / rehab technology specialsts... no college needed, just high school diploma and a certification test :D

Well, exactly, that's my point. If want you really want to do in life doesn't require college, then there is no point in going. My philosophy is to set out to achieve what you want, and do what you have to do (may it be college or otherwise) to get there.

It has brought up great minds in our community, Temple Grandin is one of those people along with Alex himself.

A college degree makes more money than a high school diploma.
