Between grades 1-12, I went to 7 schools. One wasn't too bad, since they pushed academics first and all the other fluff, like sports, didn't mean much there. Heck, the place went years without winning a single football game.
However, it wasn't to last, since my parents transferred me to the same school my sister went to, where sports, band, etc. was everything and since I wasn't into that, I was pretty much an outcast.
After that, I bounced through Catholic school, Christian schools, and public school and in all of them, I was picked on for one reason or another. It was never the same reasons, but I was still tormented day in and day out.
College wasn't bad. There weren't many people I could fit in with socially, but the bullying and forced socialization/conformity of elementary/junior high/high school weren't there, so I was pretty much free to do whatever I wanted to. For the first 2 years though, I had to deal with the forced socialization of my parents and sister, who often dragged me to football games, concerts, and so on with her friends, most of whom I didn't like. When she left home, all that pretty much went away, and I was finally free.
However, she bounced between being at home and being away, so the forced socialization did sometimes return.
