To interact with others who are also on the spectrum. It's the only forum I've ever been on where I've actually felt like I fit in and belong.

I come here to connect with others who are on the spectrum. WP is also a place where I can be myself all the time, instead of some of the time. I also hone my social skills by being here on WP. I like to help out those in need in The Haven, yet I also like to play games in Off The Wall as well. I also like to make an effort to greet every new member who comes through and make them feel welcome. I like to have fun with my fellow randomers in Random Discussion. I'd like to reach out to the parents in The Parenting Forum but as an Aspie who wasn't accepted by my own parents, it's a little hard. I also like to talk about my autism in General Autism. I like to support others on the spectrum and make them feel welcome. It also gives me a true sense of belonging. I also have a lot of things to get off my chest and my mind and that's how my post count got to be so high in a matter of almost 8 years. :)

I came here because I had been searching online for an explanation as to why I have too much Eye Contact. I am unable to break eye contact with people(men, women, children) they have to do it, for me to look away. This has earned me the title of "Creepiest Guy in Town". Anyway, I was reading on a blog about Aspergers & that too much/little eye contact is a trait. After some research on AS & talking to professionals (not official diagnosis, too cheap for that) about it, it is clear to me that I can be identified as an aspergian citizen. I come to this site to gain further insight into others like me, (it is staggering to see some many people like me, & not like me at the same time, when normally in my area they are not at all like me.) Since coming here, I found meaning in all the weird involuntary movements & habits I have. I will continue to lurk here for at least awhile. Thank You, Wrong Planet, for being here.

I joined originally because I was having some problems in life that I thought may of been related to AS & I had been having some problems on other forums & i was lonely & wanting friends. I sorted things out & feel a lot better about things sense I joined & i don't want to focus on the issues now. I'm still here because this forum has accepted me & I never had any major problems with others here & I'd like to make some offline friends & find another girlfriend from here.

I came here to learn more about this condition, and in doing so learn more about myself. Also found that my stimming, odd behavior, social problems, and SI are all related to me being somewhere on the spectrum.

I'm not sure whether I have Asperger's or not. Some of the signs fit me.
