This poll is actually excellent (or "remarkable!", paraphrasing Sheldon Cooper lol), 'cos haven't you guys heard/read that being left wing or right wing is due to pure genetics? It's in your genes, just like your preferences for colours, or like sexuality. You are born this way. That's why some people from the worker class vote right wing parties even though they're "poor" and stuff like that. Or rich aristocratic people sometimes vote left. It's not a question of classes, but a question of the DNA you're born with.

What I'm trying to say is that in Europe conservative liberals are often centre-right, liberal conservatives are often from centre-right to centre-left, national liberals are often right-wing and classical liberals can be anywhere from the centre to right. The left/right divide is pretty outdated these days.

in the american sense, i am about as much of a leftie, as good ol' ralph nader. my only rightist quality would be that i am not convinced that gun control [IOW confiscation/registration] is such a practical thing, at least in america.

I voted left because I do lean that way more often, but I also agree with the GOP on some things as well and also the Libertarians. It depends on the issue.
