I was hugged a lot.

I picked hardly, even though I was offered many hugs as a child I often didn't hug back.

In fact I don't really remember ever being hugged as a child but I'm sure it happened. The hugging thing is a pretty recent thing, I actually get hugged a lot at work. I'm the only male working with 8 ladies and they are all out going touchy feely people. We've all been through a lot of emotional life-changing events in our personal lives together so it's just natural for them and I've gotten to where I'm actually comfortable with it.

Absolutely, and I'm a very touchy feely person. But only with people I know well and feel comfortable with.

Nobody hugged me until I was 37. I've been married to her for 11 1/2 years now. Hugs are the best! In fact, I'm going to get one right now.

I love very tight hugs, but my mother doesn't like to be affectionate at all. I get lots of hugs from people I meet when I go outside, and I don't always want to talk to them, but I always like the hugs.

My father never hugged me (though he made me massage him once, which was really creepy), but my mom and I hug a lot. It wasn't as much when I was a kid though, because I wasn't into hugging as much then. I still don't like being touched by anybody other then my mom, though I'll hug a few other people who really like being hugged even though I don't.

EDIT: I asked my mom and she said that I started wanting physical contact around grade 5-6

Our family hugged at least a little, although now I couldn't estimate how much hugging went on.
I suspect I wasn't picked up that much as a baby (if that has any tangential relevance).

Never as a child.

I was hugged but hard to tell if a lot or a little. I voted for "a little" since I like being hugged (sometimes).

I need heavy pressure to relax,so I would often give back breaking hugs, and still do

I was never hugged by either my father or mother.

Why is there a next to Never?

Probably because hugging is a way parents show affection,comfort the child,calm them ext

To not have that growing up would be sad wouldn't it?
