I finally got a job offer. It has been months.
But now I am scared.
It will be high stress.
The hours will change from week to week. This especially bothers my wife who likes to plan ahead.
The money is good.
I may not be able to keep up.
Should I just take the job and keep looking?

Two main advantages to taking the job are:
The money.
The resume gap filler.

The main thing is that you keep advancing your cause. A problem I used to have is that I'd take these survival jobs and forget to keep looking elsewhere. I'd take a job, settle into it, eventually lose the job, and end up exactly where I was before I took the job...just a little older.

If you have a goal and a plan to get there, take the job, but never be more loyal to it than it is to you. It's detour. But keep moving towards your goal. Don't get too settled.

Sounds like good advice. I cannot seem to get my brain to give me a clear "yea" or "nay".

Sometimes there isn’t a clear yea or nay. Sometimes you just have to make a decision and go with it. And realize that not making a decision really is making a nay decision.

Good luck.

I feel like you should take the job.

Sorry about the hassle with the hours.

Working is better than not working. Even the worst jobs I've had taught me something useful.

Please check in the minute you discover you are having trouble dealing with any aspect of the job. We can give you encouragement.

Not worth it if you're gonna quit after 1 day.

I ended up not taking it.

The hours was one reason.
