So I may be starting a new job. It going to be half day(6 hours) schedule once a week and the owner of the business may take me on to help with more thing more tiems in the week if she likes me.

My one concern is that it might interfere(how 'bout that eh, a person worrying about work interfering with something outside of it.... ;) ) with a volunteer position I have that I really enjoy because it won't be fixed and the place where I volunteer is currently in the middle of a term of classes, so it's not like I can just up and aks to change my days at this place or cancel outright for the remaining 5 weeks of the term.

Whudda ya think?

Did u tell the owner about the position?
If you didn't then you should tell them right away, so they know what your availability is.

I concur with tweety_fan, but there's not a rush. As I often tell myself, you're just where you need to be. You don't need to do anything special.

A job that's one day a week, you can't be infinitely flexible with the rest of your schedule. You just can't. So, get there on time or five or ten minutes early for your one day a week, and tell her about your other commitments when it naturally comes up during conversation
