I worked the last three months at a target. I was told I would be working in toys and selling Tv's. I worked in the food all three months( was upset about it. I know nothing about cooking) one of the bosses was always ridding me. Telling me I was doing so and so wrong or going to slow about things I was not trained to do. So today after he jumped on my case for being in the wrong area( I was helping out in toys, my area was clean and no one was there) and stopping me from Helping out by the Tv's. I had enough. I told my self I would wait one more time and if he was rude one more time I was leaving(I talked to the head person three times about him, nothing changed. And I felt the head boss did not care at all) half an hour later he started bugging and being rude about me being in a different area again(this time I was in the other area because I had to put away some stuff) so told him I was not dumb. I do not know his problem but I cant take working with him any more and I quit. My sister also works at this target (was not there at the time) but she told me he was really upset when he saw him hours later. She said his eyes were red and was really shaken. This guy has been rude and hurtful for weeks yet I feel said he was upset. Why?

My theory is there is a very large mis-communication.

If he were truly That upset about you quitting and
he is willing to say he is sorry for treating you badly
and asking you to come back, I would only give him
once more chance before you threaten to quit if
he does not be kinder to you.

His antennae might be broken so he could
not tell you were upset by how he treateded
you.

Most cases I'd have done the same thing as you
but if he is willing to realise his mistake and
treat you nicer then I would give him 2 more
chances, or however many you can take, first
offence, tell him "your'e mbeing mean to me
and upsetting me by treating me this way."

Next offence tell him you are quqitting because
he is upseetting you too much to be able to
work.

Just my theory, I may be off.

Thing is after he makes his comments he walks off. if you move two feet in the store you cant see the person anymore. He is not the head boss.(I reported him five times to the head boss. nothing happened) and targets rules say as soon as I walk out the door before my shift is over They take it as me quitting so I cant go back. My question is why do I feel upset for getting him yelled at after all the other times I wanted something to happen.

Good question. Dang. Not sure.
I must apologise that I am no
good with feelings and peple,
but I have had similar things
happen to me, I heard a boss I
stamped out on got beanhatched
out for letting me go or something
and heard he was shaken and upset
and I said "GOOD! Butt=face deserved
it for how he treated me".

The big difference here is that you
have a better soul than I do I think,
you at least can feel sorry for him,
I am not that mature.

Maybe he felt guilty? Or possibly he was genuinely trying to be helpful and you misinterpreted/ he miscommunicated. Hayfever is always a possibility too

It could be he was upset about something else or that the stress was on him for you walking out by his own supervisor.

Either way, you shouldnt worry about him. If working around him makes you uncomfortable and stressed, then you shouldnt feel bad about walking out of the job when you did. If you stayed and dealt with much more of that things could've reached their boiling point and you would've been fired one way or another. You had to do what you needed to to look after yourself and your employment record.
