Ok so as some of you on here may know I got my diagnosis in 2006. Since then I have had alot of success in both academics and holding down a job because I have gone out and sought the resources to help me. That means different specialists trained to

So who all on here besides me has been successful at different types of jobs? I ask this because I need to know that I am not alone in this fight!! !

By and large, yes. I am going through a tough spot now, but my diagnosis has allowed me to forgive myself and keep my head clear and get some assistance.

Things have improved for me in many ways, but I'm still looking for my first job.

Yes and no.

Yes in that now that I know about AS and can see it in me, I'm better equipped to do something about it.

No in that knowing doesn't make it go away. In some ways, feeling discriminated against because I'm not like others is another "anger issue" for me to cope with.

since getting diagnosed officially in October 2012... just last week, i FINALLY got relief at my job and every day last week i loved every day. i'm actually lookin forward to going back to work tomorrow!! ! and before then i have suffered for nearly 13 years...with the last four years i was feeling worse and worse about life in general, the last year an a half i actually had thoughts of really just up and running away!
