It is a degree that is split between office administration and accounting. I'm having anxiety whether this or the accounting degree will teach me enough to land a bookkeeping or accounting clerk job. What other software skills, besides Excel and Quickbooks, would be important to develop for those jobs?
I think that looks like a pretty good coverage of the topics. And, at SWIC, you're likely to be taught by folks who work in the industry, too, so they can give good real world context.
(I went there for my A.A.S in Technical Design... aka Drafting and started one in Engineering, which I couldn't finish because I moved. I had half a dozen teachers who taught fulltime, all the rest did only a class that closely aligned with their jobs.)
Edit: Sorry, more context. I worked as a Temp in an Accounting office in the summers through high school. I was taking accounting and related courses in high school, and my first year of college.
