Ok so so far I've been ranting about my experiences with VR and how they have failed to do anything well this morning I got a rejection letter from Target I guess I was being too truthful during their online screening so this afternoon I got a phone call after I applied on my own with no help from VR or my "job placement specialist" from a college bookstore at the college I am going to and they want to interview me for a job opening next week! While I'm not getting my hopes up too high I do think this is a step in the right direction and hopefully this will be what I need to get rid of these ppl at VR and start being somewhat more self sufficient.

That is great! Good luck.

hopefully it works out

one thing about VR I think is that your experience is very dependent on who your counsellor is, they can be completely useless and even hostile to you or they can be lifesavers who go above & beyond.

good luck!

I'm sure you know that you should NOT mention anything about you having autism. Or talk about needing "accommodations."

Which bookstore? Maybe they have previous interviews on Glassdoor.

Just dress decently. Make sure you get enough sleep and take a shower. Shake the interviewer's hand. Look the person in the eye.

What did you put on your resume?

No I wont disclose the fact I have autism despite it being 'trendy' or accommodations I'm doing this on my own so that I appear to be 'normal' I believe they are owned by Follett and it's a part time gig so I wont be burnt out the only issue I have is the eye contact I still have issues with that as for the resume I'm not sure of the question you are asking.

How long was the gap between your last job and now, according to your resume?

Well, retail in general is terrible. Plus, from what I hear, Target gets really mad and possibly fires you for not selling enough credit cards as a cashier.
