Can someone with autism become a bus driver?

If such a person is able to get the required commercial drivers license (aka CDL) necessary for driving a bus, then I assume they could.

Is driving a bus something you'd be interested in?

I'm not sure if it's related to my Asperger's or not but I have a poor sense of direction. Once I have a route to anywhere memorized I can do ok but if I have to take a detour I start to panic.

If someone fulfills the essential job requirements, yes.

Certainly, the two groups contain at least one person overlap

If there are no problems between being on the spectrum and wanting to work in the field of public transportation, then yes only if one meets the essential job requirements.

I personally couldn't do it
But you should go for it I'd you think you can handle multitasking and speaking to customers
