At the moment it is an incredibly busy time for me at work.

I work at a university and the second semester starts next week. Currently students have the opportunity to come in and change there course for the semester (or make their request via email). This is a peak time for the team I work in and while I've been through the same process at the beginning of first semester, this semester is a significantly higher workload, and I'm already starting to struggle.

So I was wondering, what do you do that helps you to handle stress?

Daily exercise helps a lot to relieve stress. Also regular sleep (easier said than done), and antidepressant medication.

Learn the art of delegation?

If you find a way to reduce stress let me know...

Mind you, prayer helps on occasions.

I have a routine sleep schedule and I walk to work. I would like to increase my exercise though simply to decrease how round I am. Winter isn't being kind to me this year.

Unfortunately I'm not able to delegate any work. It's one of those things where everyone including my supervisor and my supervisors supervisor is helping out. There's just a lot of work to be done. Working six days this week too.

I do have the added disadvantage of my knowledge though. I'm an expert in scheduling conflicts so quite a few people come to me for assistance with them.

I will try some meditation though, somehow I forgot about it!

Do keep the suggestions coming!

If I listen to the same song over and over between customers it reduces my stress level.

Youtube will let you loop a song to greatly reduce the strain on system resources. If I do this I can surf web pages that would otherwise crash.
