This seems to be a recurring problem at my company...
I'm working on a project and encounter an IT or technical issue that's outside of my control and the project cannot continue until this issue is resolved. It's also very difficult to describe it in layman's terms to non-technical people.
When it's on hold, i constantly receive calls from other people in the company asking for why the project is on hold. 1 or 2 I can definitely handle. But it gets old fast especially due to the fact that it's SO mentally exhausting to come up with a way to explain the highly technical problem to a non-technical person and after having to explain it for the 5th time (or the Nth time) I feel completely drained.
