Seizure disorders
Hi,
I'm not a parent, I'm an Aspie w/an Aspie friend who is having tonic/clonic seizures that they're having trouble getting a diagnosis on. I'm hoping some of you here can give us some ideas for things to look into, particular tests that might be helpful & ways of coping w/the physical aftermath...she ends up so sore she can hardly move.
I am particularly curious about the dietary trigger possibilities...how does one test for additive triggers? Or does anybody here have a kid w/PNES? She says they've eliminated epilepsy, but from my research it doesn't seem that it's that easy; she may have atypical epilepsy.
In any case, it's really messing up her life. It'd be nice to have a Dx, so she could have some idea how to treat it.
Thanks
