I've looked and looked and couldn't find a forum like this one focusing on Dyslexia, so I decided to start one myself.

If you have a child with dyslexia, or even just a struggling reader that you are concerned about, please come visit us at http://dyslexiasupport.boards.net/

My friend once gave me a tee-shirt that said, "lysDexics Untie!"

It took me a week to notice the joke.

Thank God for spell-checking, or my psots would be all msesed up.

You made my day! Don't be too impressed just yet...it's easy to set up a board on a free hosting site, much harder to drive enough traffic to it to achieve a critical mass of posters. I'm not sure I have the social skills to pull this off -- I've tried a couple of other things in the past that were complete flops. I was inspired to try by watching an interview with the founder of DecodingDyslexiaNJ. Basically a group of parents said, "somebody should do something about this," and then decided they might as well be those somebodies. A year or so later they pushed significant dyslexia legislation through the New Jersey state government.

I am not dyslexic, so I have no idea if this is truly easier to read, but I thought I would put this on this thread for those interested to check out:
