Would have to say PS3, XboX360 is a close second. PS3 is just a better console, plus it's a bluray player.

Though I am an avid gamer who owns and plays many consoles, the Nintendo 64 is definitely my favorite. The system, though lacking in third party support because of Nintendo's decision to stick with cartridges, some of the best games of all time were made for this console, such as Super Mario 64, GoldenEye 007, Donkey Kong 64, and Paper Mario. There are too many classics to list, however. I am definitely a retro gamer, and the 64 was my first console, which I received on my fifth birthday and still own. The NES, SNES, and Genesis would come close after the N64.

N64 <3

I played that console to death. Zelda: OOT and Duke Nukem 64 were my most played games. Anyone who has ever owned a N64 and not played OOT must have something wrong with them.

A tie between the PlayStation and PS2. The PS3 was when Sony boned the fish (jumped the shark), because they loaded the device with a ton of DRM, lost money making them for a year or two, and let's not forget the security breach that shut PSN down last year. And rumor has had it that the PS4 will be designed as to not let you use preowned games. And how? I have no clue, because that seems impossible, unless you have to activate your console games (bad enough you need to on the PC).

There are always rumors before a new generation of consoles. Last time, people said that the PS3 would be able to record TV shows like a TiVo and burn DVDs. Rumors also surrounded the Wii and the most popular was that apart from the HD ressolution, it wouldn't have significantly worse graphics than the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Quite a classic game. I've played virtually, if not every, first party game for the N64. Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong. Mario Party was another of my favorites, though I typically played single player (I'm a loner of sorts) unless relatives were over. It took me an indiscriminate amount of time to find everything in DK64. My childhood in a box, my 64 is...I remember the first time I put DK64 into it...nostalgia
