I play on Project 1999 which is a classic EverQuest emu server. Yes, it's got the classic grind to it, but I don't mind. It can get boring but only if I am soloing a lot or with a group that doesn't say a word. I get a lot of my social interaction from grouping, sadly. A lot of times I just enjoy logging on and helping new players.

I enjoyed WoW for years... Was never great at it, mostly just wandered around on my own, but had a lot of fun! But yeah they made so many changes, it lost its appeal for me after Cataclysm.

Yeah, that's the one I was trying.

Ditto for UO. I can't remember the name of the server, but it was the same concept.

Project 1999 is pretty much classic EQ from back in the day. If the game interests you but not the grind, the live servers by Sony/Daybreak may interest you. They have faster xp, more quests/missions and getting your corpse is much easier. I think if you can't retrieve it yourself it spawns in a graveyard. But I haven't played on live in many years, so things may have changed.

I saw that, I can't remember my reason for not trying it =)

But unless UO somehow manages to "wow" me, I'm resigned to the fact that I will never find an MMO I actually enjoy until I make it myself...and truth be told, the one I'm working on only supports 32 or maybe 64 players max, so hardly "massive" at all.

I play League of Legends, which I find to be pretty fun. It is also entirely free to play like the entire game you can choose to spend money if you want different skins for your champions you battle with or little extras but its not like you can only partially play if you don't spend money. Is kind of basic 5v5 and you basically have 3 lanes guarded by turrets and a jungle to sneak around in...and you have to make it to the enemy base to destroy their 'nexus' or large crystal thing. But yeah the map isn't all that big, game play is actually a little complex though I think...granted this is the only mmo or whatever that I've ever really played. Kind of reminds me of chess in a weird way.

My old computer wouldn't even run some other games I tried downloading, but league was ok so long as I turned the graphics down to the lowest setting.

What rank are you? LoL is fun but it does require a lot of time.
