No, I didn't know about the PC game version of it. Thank you so very much for the link! :D
I also like getting to be a Pokemon in the Mystery Dungeon games. :)

Zombie simulators? I'm pretty sure those are some of the most popular games in the industry. It's only recently that people have started to tire of the genre, yet they still sell like hotcakes. They don't even have to be anywhere near finished to make their profits.

I wrote Zombie Survival. Not Zombie-"run-around-in-a-linear-strory-with-poor-cutscenes-that-appeals-to-teenagers". Try playing 7DTD online, hardly anyone playing it and it has always been like that. And "Zombie" was optional since there are also pure survival games without them.

Btw, the only "Zombie Simulator" that exists is the Be the Zombie DLC for Dying Light.

The DS game Away Shuffle Dungeon. As far as I can tell, it didn't get very good reviews, but I find it to be a lot of fun and very enjoyable.

I've played NetHack off and on since the late 1980s - it's free to download and available for a variety of operating systems. I've only won four times, but that's four more than most people.

Its a wonderful platforming game made by the well know Krome Studios. I havent even played the game and I already fell in love with it!
It's very original despite taking its inspirations from the from the likes of Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie and Sonic Adventure 2.

It was so good that it had its own sequels:

Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days (2010)

One of my all-time favorite shooters along side Doom 2 and Half-Life. It has just about everything I could ask for in a lean, straightforward shooter: an intense, genuinely mature narrative that is drum-tight and delivered in an authentically gritty, filmic presentation, with subtle characterization and solid voice work, an original choice of real-world setting with immaculate attention to detail, and great action set pieces -- from skirmishes in otherwise lonely fish markets, to destroying a handful of corporate skyscrapers via chopper, to infiltrating an airport after hours. I can think of no other shooter (outside of the Arma series) that so perfectly captures the terror and disorientation of being locked into a life-or-death struggle; I completed this one on the hardest difficulty setting, and it actually had me sweating and shaking by the end.

Overall, Kane and Lynch 2 is very much a meta shooter, an art-house game for adults who know their cinema (i.e., familiarity with not only the better known directors like Nicolas Winding Refn, but with ultra-obscure grade-z filmmakers like Ronnie Sortor as well). Maybe people in future decades will look back with a greater degree of respect than what the masses afforded it upon release.

I'm not sure where you heard that Earthbound wasn't very popular outside Japan. It's pretty much considered to be one of the great cult SNES RPG classics. Anyways I'm a fan on the Rune Factory series and even found some things to like about Dante's Inferno of all games.

Super Monkey Ball. Everyone seems to think this game is too hard, tedious, and boring, but I love it. It's a great challenge and has such a simple gameplay, and I love the checkered graphical style on the earlier versions. I recently discovered a free PC game called Neverball which is a lot like Super Monkey Ball, and I've been playing it a lot.

^ Yeah, Super monkey ball was pretty fun. Another one I really liked was Marble Madness, which was somewhat similar.

Other Earthbound fans, dedicated Earthbound websites, Nintendo interviews...

Nintendo keeps saying they don't want to release Mother 3 in English because they don't believe it would sell well.

I know that Earthbound is popular with a minority of people, making it a "cult" classic, but I've always heard that Nintendo considered it a failure outside of Japan.
