I like all kinds of games, and wanted to see what other people like. My choices are eclectic, but personal faves lean to the side of role-playing games.

Please VOTE, and tell which categories you think are related to having Asperger/Autism.

Oops! It seems i ran up against a limit in number of categories. Eight is the most? LOL ok that will do then.

Role-playing or strategy games (Starcraft, Worms series, Diablo II,and so on) seem to be my personal favourites.

You left out puzzle games so I voted for adventure games. While I love all types of games, puzzle and adventure games are where I lose most of my time because they're so addicting. I can easily lose a day playing Pic Pic on the DS. Same with adventure games - throw one my way and I won't stop playing until I'm done or until I can't see the screen anymore because my eyes are too tired.

I get addicted to other types of games too but in general I'd probably play only up to 5 hours or so at one time. Which might seem like a long time to a non gamer, but it's nothing compared to how long I'd play a good puzzle/adventure game.

So um... what about those games that are multiple categories? For example Mass Effect is a shooter and RPG. Champions Online is an MMO and an action game. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is an Action RPG. Fallout series are shooter/RPGs and so is Borderlands. Ratchet and Clank is an action/shooter. Uncharted series are action/shooters.

Also, the polls on these boards totally need an option to make it so you can vote for multiple things... I like way to many types of games to choose a favorite like that ><

Most definitely!

I'm into FPS, RTS's, MMO's, RPG's, and action/adventures, so I kinda span across a wide selection of games. I'm currently in a CODMW2 rut...though I'm not that good at it. It's all about the fun anyway, so it's all good.

personally I was a bit suprised at the role-playing getting the majority of the votes, I though the spread would be a bit more wide

I voted for shooters but I really like shooters mixed with RPG elements or vice versa.

I think RPGs are a common choice for those with AS. I think it's because you can escape into another world where you actually have friends.

I like Role Playing, something that I can get carried away with, I can play my own way, and thus multiple ways in re plays. I also like some strategy with stealth or shooter games.

My favorite is probably 3rd person action. Games like Ninja Gaiden, Assassin's Creed, God of War, Uncharted, Batman: Arkham Asylum, etc

RPGs and rhythm action (though I have no rhythm)

I also enjoy the odd shooter and simulation.

FPS/RPG games with deep and/or compelling stories.

e.g. Deus Ex.
