Who else is a huge fan of the Worms series? My favorite game of the whole series is Worms: Armageddon. I do admit the voices of the worms I play with and their enemies after some time get irritating as hell to me. My favorite weapon is Holy Grenade but it isn't in the basic equipment :( I like also the exploding sheep as well and the "tora tora tora" option :D

^^Yaye greetings Irulan. I am very sorry Irulan as I believe that I have not played many of the happy Worms games. However I do believe that I enjoyed playing the first happy Worms game very much available for computer. ^^ Yaaye, also, I believe that I live very close indeed to the happy offices of Team17.

I had Worms Armageddon and I still have Worms World Party.
I still remember much of the introcductory verse for Worms Armageddon:

Many moons have passed since the Worms went to war,
Onwards and upwards, bigger weapons than before.
Bogey B took cover, he shivered on patrol;
the arms race was crazy, simply way out of control.

Then his friends saw it, the latest device
Bogey B went and got it, against all advice:
"What the...?" (boom!)

His tail was split, his energy, lost:
How many more will this dreadful war cost?
(I don't recall the rest of it :( )

Is there any free version of the game that I can download for the mac? I used to love this game but until we got a new computer and I couldn't find the game again :(

Loved Worms! My favourite is Worms DC for Amiga. Its got a lot of features from Armageddon but I prefer the older style graphics.

I started playing Worms during part 2. Me, my brother, and a friend would play for hours on end. Since then I have played Worms Armageddon, Worms World Party, Worms 3D, and a couple of the console versions that I didn't like as much. I would have to say either Armageddon or World Party were my favorites. I loved doing the super sheep training. At one point on Armageddon I had a time of 4 hours on sheep training. I was on such a roll I made myself lose so that I didn't have to play anymore. :)

I remember playing one PS1 version of Worms at a friend's birthday party and loving it. A good Flash substitute (although the weapon count is significantly lower) is Territory War, and it's one of my favorites.

I liked the first Worms a whole lot.

I think the newer ones are alright sometimes with a group of friends, but I feel they overcomplicated things with the ridiculous amount of weapons...and I still can't figure out how to use that darn ninja rope

Yes all the daft weapons seemed to get in the way.

I can only describe the feeling I got playing later worms games as; in some way the 'soul' was lost.
