Well I finally got my hands on the first Dead Space last week, and I have now completed it, after becoming so addicted to it and flat-outing it for hours.

I know I'm way late but, man, what a game that was... I must have jumped and shouted "Jesus Christ!!" a hundred times, from all those necromorphs jumping out of nowhere, suddenly getting up off the floor or stabbing me from behind.

I was also beheaded, ripped in half and torn limb from limb many, many times . Horror games don't usually scare me at all, they just make me laugh, but I have to admit this one had a great scare and shock factor. The ending hurt my heart .

In summary I would give it a score of 9/10 (I have to score absolutely every game I play :D). Now I just need a nice kiddies game to play, because I've had enough of the super dark adult games for a while .

Anyways, has anyone played Dead Space 2? What's it like?

If you enjoyed the first then you'll probably like the second one. I'm on my second round of Dead Space 2, I'm very much enjoying it.

dead space 2 is really good, as a tip keep your save from DS1 it allows you to unlock the original plasma cutter in the second. I wish I had, the plasma cutter in the second game looks so puny and weak compared to the original :(

Yeah, the refurbished plasma cutter is way better than the standard one you get.

Everyone review I've seen has said that it's a tacked on feature. Don't really care since I don't like online multiplayer.

In my opinion the multiplayer is a crappy clone of left 4 dead, with very small maps and the necromorphs suck :? I would of loved a co-op survival mode instead. But you'll love singleplayer anyways.

Dead Space 1 was a lot more scary and hard imo, it even had better necromorphs, DS2 Stalkers are just stupid, and the babymorphs and children are easily killed with a shot from the plasma rifle.

The levels of Ishimura were atleast memorable(Chapter 4 with the regenerator AKA Necro-terminator really scared me.) I enjoyed the first one a lot more. DS2 stopped being scary after the second chapter.

Still lovin' it though. Currently blasting and dismembering necro's on Zealot Chapter 7 just after the elevator part with the tripods.

DS 1 and 2 are one of the most enjoyable games together with Mass Effect series that I have played in a long time. And yes there were many minor heart attacks.
