any one played a game that was at least somewhat like Grand Theft Auto?

This is what I found...
Vin Diesel's Wheelman...PC
Mercenaries 1 and 2... playstation

anyone play other games like this?

Open world games:

Grand theft auto series.
Assassin's Creed. *
Infamous 1 + 2 *
Prototype (as far as I've heard..) *
Mercenaries
The Mafia series (probably the closest to GTA that I've played, though I only played the first and it did have it's differences).

Narc was fun, if you have an xbox.

If it that open world style you're after give those a go. There's really nothing quite like GTA though in my experience.

* No driving.
