Surely that would've changed come Smash Bros Brawl right? (with the inclusion of Lucas)

Record of Agarest War is a pretty obscure modern game, it's an SJRPG for the PS3/360. It's a fairly serious war drama with dating sim elements thrown in a somewhat haphazard manner, so it's a little strange, but all in all it's a great game.

Wow, I completely missed DialAForAwesome saying this lol. (I actually had to scour back and forth a couple times to even see it after I saw i quoted :P)

For anyone who knows of the Vocaloids there's Project Diva and Project Diva 2nd for PSP which is a music rhythm game featuring their music. Then there's also Vocaloid: Dreamy Theater and Dreamy Theater 2nd which is a HD version of the Project Diva games which actually requires the PSP games to even play it (it loads your save from the PSP). It's pretty much a cash in for SEGA :P

(The video is set on PV (music video) mode which is the song without the button input)

Also I know this is quite a few years ago but it's DEFINITELY worthy of a mention called Lillian Fourhand - Nuclear Soeur Fighters. It's from a Japanese company called Soft Circle French Bread. They had a habit of making games with characters from other doujin games/anime. It's like the oldschool side scrolling shooters, but instead of being up in space you're moving in a platform game style movement system.

Stars! (yes the exclamation mark was part of the name) is the only 4x game I've played so far with a turn system that I like.
It was a really good game aswell, even though some of the balance was due to a bug. (gotta love that)

every other 4x game I've seen it's one at a time, maybe exept sword of the stars but I found the controls of that game horrible, or something else, I disliked it from the start.

I've actually seen that game before in some of the local Gamestops, may I ask for your opinions on this game, beyond the brief summary you've given?

I'll throw Psychonauts in there too. It apparently not only didn't sell but most people haven't heard of it.

Vigil: Blood Bitternes
Chains
Nikopol: Secret of the Immortals
Larva Mortus

Probarly the most unknown games i have played. Also: low sales does not automaticly make a game unknown. Try mention games you never seen being discussed on any forum you visited.
