Frostpunk, it is a very difficult game but it is certainly unique.

I'm going back into Hollow Knight. Not sure why I haven't really been able to get really stuck into the game as I love Metroidvania style games, they're my favourite type of game. But something about the movement and combat doesn't really feel right to me and I can't really put my finger on it. Also it seems like everyone and their dog loves the game so I'm determined to finish it.

Been playing Dusk. Very old school FPS-Type that I really love.

Okami on Switch, mostly because I had a gift card to use and didn’t want to set up my PS4 instead before Travis Strikes Again comes out. Also got Senran Kagura Reflexions. Fitness boxing will be available in a few days as well. So I guess I’ll be pretty busy for a bit.

Already played Okami on Wii, PS2, PS3, etc. whatever consoles it’s been on basically, but I feel like this is the best version. Not that that’s a huge change, just nice to have HD, strong filter, and better motion controls all together. Still hoping for another one day, outsourced to Platinum, but perhaps I’ll be forced to try Okamiden and see if it’s at least half as good.

Nothing much new about Senran Kagura since I did play the Japanese version months back. Just wanted it in English. Unfortunately none of my favorite characters made it in like I thought they would, and really it just makes me want a full SK game on the Switch.

The Sims 2 on my Windows 7 laptop. Haven't got to play this for a long time, but now that I got Windows 7 back on to my laptop by using a Windows 7 disk (well a friend done it for me), I can play my favourite game again. Up yours, Windows 10!

Final Fantasy XIV on the PS4. Switching between that and Super Smash Brothers.

Consider yourself lucky on that one. Windows 7 is nigh-impossible to get currently. Microsoft went to alot of trouble to get it pulled out of every store, and remove it from circulation entirely. I've tried many times to get it back myself, all to no avail.

Though recently I dont really need it anymore, but still, there was a long period where I kept trying to get it, kept failing to find it.

My friend has it on disk. That is the only way to defeat crappy Windows 10. Thank God he has it on disk.

Been playing the Splatoon 2 DLC, known as Octo Expansion. I was kind of into it based on the trailer ages back, I love the general aesthetics of the game, and the chance to play an Octoling sounds fun, but I generally don't play much multiplayer, so I had not really gone back much to play Splatoon 2 since completing the story campaign. Enjoying Inkling in Smash Bros, I thought I might play the DLC, and I did not know what I was in for.

The main game story was not that hard, but Octo Expansion feels like a huge jump. I kind of scoffed at the idea these would be called tests, but pretty much every mission, which there appears to be 80 of, tests thing a unique and creative way, that certainly does test the player. Did not take long for me to mentally compare it to Dark Souls, and found other others have too. Regardless, it makes every success feel like a victory, and earned.

Decided to get Wasteland 2 with some extra money I had. Never played the first, nor the first few Fallout games inspired by it, but it still looked interesting enough, kind of like Xcom 2 but not as much emphasis on combat alone. Also in lieu of an actual Fallout game it seems pretty nice, at least until whenever The Outer Worlds comes along.

Thing is I actually didn’t play much of it, and may plan to restart. Can’t decide if I want to try making my own characters or if I’d rather stick to the presets.

Dead Cells. It's a really good game because it punishes mistakes but not to the point of being too frustrating when I die.

Awesome stuff. My advice would be not to play it on UV though, if you want to progress beyond the third level.

Now that Windows 7 is entering its final year of support, it's possible (over here at least) to get a used W7 laptop for around £100. You obviously need to be careful, but there are some staggering bargains to be had, including high quality machines like Dell Latitudes and Thinkpads, often with i5 processors, at this price level. Next year you'll probably be able to get such machines for around £60-70, though most will have been converted to W10.
