It's a fun game so far, but I fear it is probably the shortest game Suda51 has made(though I have yet to play Diabolical Pitch I believe it's called?). I already thought Shadows of the Damned was far too short in length and this one seems to have gone by even faster. I guess it has to do with replay value, but still. No More Heroes 2 had a decent length(not gonna comment on NMH since most of it was grinding for money). I'd rather have another game like Killer7 that is just as deep and serious and long enough, but after having played Shadows of the Damned and realizing it's not much a successor, I know we probably won't see anything quite like it ever again, unfortunately.
Not to say it's all bad, though Just short and not meant to be taken seriously at all. Lots of stuff to collect, a ton of different variables to consider when going for the highest score, lots of things to buy like upgrades, combos, other collectables, etc. There is quite a bit of variation in gameplay between hacking n slashing, saving classmates, shooting sections, and pretty much every levels' own specific gimmicks. Combat system is great, though at times it can be a bit confusing and clunky. Bosses, while not as great to me as those in the NMH games, are still quite fun and very crazy. Not sure I've seen everything that they can really do because I've only played on normal and had to switch to easy when I got to Zombie Baseball, and it's apparent that they have very different attacks on the different difficulties.
If anyone's interested in seeing any gameplay I've got some right here.:
