Just wondering whether anyone knows of any good books or websites which teach the basics of MTG? My boyfriend is massively into Magic (he owns a games shop and is a singles trader). I know I could ask him to teach me and he's been through the very basics with me once before but I really struggle to learn by someone talking me through, I find reading and re reading information much easier. Would you say it's a difficult game to pick up, I'm not a gamer at all at the moment!

if you dont find videos appealing i would suggest going through the quikstart rules, your boyfriend should have a copy or it can be found on youtube.

it gives you the basics in step by step format, with convenient descriptions of why the actions are being done.

Thanks Oodain, I'll give that a watch a bit later on and see if I can make sense of it!
