Left house and went to local park...

Encountered:
5 pokemon
4 other people playing Pokemon GO

Then my husband totally made fun of them *all probably in teens-20's* and me! @_@;

Sorry hubby, if I find them again they are my new friends and you stay at home for bad poke behavior!

Edit: the local park contained Drowzee in it compared to nearby areas.

What about the Caribbean area? Any idea if it's available there too?

It's only available if your country uses the U.S., AUS, or NZ iTunes and Google Playstore.

They halted further international launches until further notice due to server issues.

Though if you are on Android numerous fan sites and reddit have the Android APK up for download.
If you want to use a foreign iTunes, it is possible to change your country in iTunes.

At the rich upscale mall I got a good haul of new Pokemon.

I caught:
CP 272 Wartortle
CP 14 Koffing
CP 199 Seel

I was able to evolve my Eevee... thankfully it gave me Vaporeon (Eeveeloutions are totally random).

At the shopping center I got:
CP179 Bulbasuar
CP17 Magikarp
CP227 Bellsprout

When I got home I was able to land a CP158 Jigglypuff.
My 2km egg hatched giving me a CP 207 Charmander

I now have all the starters.

I'm at level 9... Almost to level 10 (that's when Great Balls are unlocked).

"Armed Robbers Use Pokémon Go To Find 9 Victims"

"The new augmented reality game Pokemon Go has gotten people off the couch and into the real world. But police in O’Fallon, Missouri say that four men have used the game to find players at a specific location, and robbed them using a handgun.

"About eight or nine people have been robbed by four men over the past couple of days, a spokesperson from the O’Fallon Police Department told Gizmodo over the phone. The latest robbery occurred Sunday morning at around 2am by the men in a black BMW before they were finally apprehended by police.

"The suspects used the Pokemon Go game to find their victims by anticipating where people might go through popular PokeStops—virtual sites in the game that can be designated at any real word location, from businesses to parking lots to churches."

I play pokémon blue/red, crystal, ruby/sapphire endlessly, I also loved the heck out of pokémon stadium on the n64 and pokémon snap and pokémon colosseum on the gamecube was alright, was also a colossal pokémon card freak when they first came out, I'm not a pokémaniac but I am a reasonable admirer of the little critters, I have no idea what pokémon go is though since I'm stuck in the older pokégames :D

I'm not. I'm content at playing chess on my phone while outside. I have a smart phone, but when I'm out I like to be out and not focused on my phone. I'm not dissing the app though, it's actually an ingenious idea.

It's a national epidemic!

Another local police call: 12.30am, occupied car sitting in isolated section of local park. Officer calls to check for wants/warrants. Comes back negative.

"Headquarters, they're just playing Pokemon. I'll be clear."

Well to be fair if you are sitting in a parked car for any length of time in the dead of night, you will get the police called on you!
IT's not just a Pokemon thing

I prefer to normally walk around...

I haven't walked this much sense.... I went to Niagara Falls in when I was 12 or DC when I was 17...

---

Anyways WSJ is reporting that more countries will be getting the app in the coming days!

---

Today at Meijer's I snagged a CP300 Pidgeotto.
The CP of Wild Pokemon increase as your level increases.

I regret giving away my copy of Pokemon Soulsilver and the Pokewalker. I wish I could get a new copy. Those were fun days. :)

I tried playing this riding the bus... just doesn't work well, when you see pokemon the bus drives away too fast, same for poke stops. But it's hard playing at home too... I'm so close to a poke stop I got it from inside my house, I got full items and eggs and it helped me level up, but unless I have incense, very few critters show up. I would walk more, but this neighborhood isn't great.
