Who else here is playing it? My game came with a spiffy carrying case and Giratina figure.

I think it's a lot better than D/P.

Where'd you get it? Best Buy had the action figures but they wanted us to pre-buy it. I didn't see the carrying case.

Will go get it this weekend.

Just got it, can't put it down, and beat the first gym leader only a few minutes ago.

Wal-Mart. I have no idea if the game/figure/carrying case bundle is available at other stores, though.

I've been playing it for a few days now. It's way better than D/P.

Red, Blue, and yellow for me. Gold, Silver, and Crystal weren't bad either, but after that they just pushed it too far for my tastes.

Another blatant cash-in. When are they going to come up with a new idea in the series? I played Pokemon Diamond and it plays almost exactly the same as Pokemon Gold, which I played through years ago. Even the graphics have barely improved since the Gameboy originals, just they're in colour now. You'd think with a multi million dollar frachise they could afford a bit more technical wizardry, or at the least the slightest hint of animation in battles.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
Pokemon Ranger.
Pokemon Battle Revolution. (which is living proof that Pokemon's battle system has become waaaaaaaay more deep & strategic since the days of Red & Blue/Gold & Silver.)

The first two are bad spin offs, made to cash in.
Also, Pokemon Battle Revolution is a remake of Pokemon Colluseum.

I don't know if I will get it, I have already played Pearl, but I actualy got a bit bored of spending so long with training a good team, I probably would only get it if it truly had somthing different to offer, as in it is not almost a complete copy of D/P.

Actualy I quite enjoyed Mystery dungeon, I havent completed it yet, but I kind of like some of the changes, I was a Charmender, could attack up close and have smokescreen, so enemy couldn't attack, and had a partner Chikorita who was mostly long range. I dont think it was a bad spin off, but was interesting for some actual dialogue/personality to the normaly standard ones. I don't know much about Ranger, but I think one of the times I saw the anime with a ranger on it. Pokemon has expanded quite a lot over the years, I have actualy found it realy frustrating to go back to the old games and things not being the same such as smaller character and rules that had not been added yet.

Which is a remake of Pokemon Stadium.

What does Platinum have that P/D didn't?

Is it worth buying if you've already beaten Pearl and have loads of entries on the Pokédex?
