Hi everyone, I am a Christian and have autism and I opened a forum to share really some of the posts I have done in the past like a collection of archives. It was really to highlight my witness of my faith testimony that I wrote it a few years ago. It was part of that project. It is a Christian forum and I don't expect it to be used much. I still will post here as well. I am not a minister in church and doing this for fun and a bit of highlighting for my faith.

There is an autism section as well.

I think this is a good idea, RachObi? I have thought about making one for the Church of Christ? Maybe you could add a Church of Christ section to your site...I think that would be a great idea and I may join your forum for that. But best of luck.

Nice. Are websites easy to make? Do they cost a lot?

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and well wishes. I saw someone else create a forum on an autism forum for their interests and I got the idea from them. It was easy to create and nice to do for any interest as well people may have. It will help me to pass the time as well.

The last year in particular I joined autism forums and mostly just highlighted those posts. I will be starting a new voluntary job soon as a hospital chaplain volunteer and may not get near my desk that much. It is out there though to be read and if anyone wants to use it.

They're not easy, but it's achievable with some minor guidance, YouTube, and an LLM AI. It can be pretty cheap at around $10-15/month depending on what you setup. I don't know much about computers and was able to get one up and running in about a week using YT videos and an LLM. A lot of it depends on what you want the site to do. If it's something like just providing information, then that would be simple. If you want to host a site that people use to communicate with each other such as a forum, that's going to be more complex. Regardless, most website purposes already have software that was created for it, so it's a matter of selecting the right one and learning how to use it. I would say the hardest part is learning what you need to do at first. Once you get one going, the next one would be much easier. Cyber security is complex though. My server was being attacked within seconds of going online, and I never promoted or shared it with anyone. It was attacked just for existing. So if you run a website that gains any popularity, it's probably going to be hacked.

Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll do my best to answer them!

Did you consider your internet service provider for a free website space?

No, I didn't, but this was really easy to set up. You can use it with ads as well for free and it is ready built and you have to just configure the boards you want to set up. I paid to have it add free for a few months to see how it goes. That wasn't too expensive either.
