Animals in the wild eat other animals in order to survive. Many humans, on the other hand, eat animals for reasons other than survival, such as taste and pleasure. Woah, what? You took the verses out of context there, buddy. The verses aren't promoting vegetarianism. They're about not eating raw meat with blood still in them. Did you ever go far through the Old Testament? There's a whole collection of books after Genesis that are all about regulations concerning animal meat.

Way to go at twisting verses promoting animal meat to support the opposing position.

well people seem to be advocating the killing of animals based upon the fact that other animals have to eat meat in order to survive.
other animals who need meat do not have a population of billions, and they do not eat the arse out of nature. lions do not farm and relegate their "stock" to misery while they wait to die.
humans are seriously different to innocent animals in that they rape the world to extinction of what they want to eat unless they "farm" their quarry with no concern as to the happiness of their "stock".

farms are a grotesque idea because all the animals in a "farm" are not considered by humans to have valuable lives. their lives are only valuable in a monetary sense and they are called "stock"

yes i eat meat, but i eat meat that is already dead, but i find it to be disgusting that humans think that they are so much more valuable in the eyes of god so that they can exact cruelty on animals they think are lesser in value to them without blame.

being a meat eater automatically gives ammunition to people who may consider me to be a hypocrite with respect to my love of animals.
if an animal is dead then it is food. i would never steal a life to feed myself, and i know that alpha males will swamp me with their opinions that i am probably going to become extinct because i do not own an automatic belief that i am more important than other animals.

i hate the smell of musk and balls and testosterone, so i am not not interested a world that is alpha controlled.



i have a mouse who i like who has chewed the electric wires in my engine, and i will find out how to keep him out of my engine. i will not poison him however. i will not kill him because he innocently chewed through a few wires. there is no way i will sentence him to death because my car is running roughly..

he has just as much right to live as i do.
i will never hurt him no matter how much he annoys me.

maybe that is the attitude of a loser (alpha males on this site would call me a loser for my attitude but whatever)

In my opinion we are just as important as animals for we are animals as well its ok to eat meat as long as its not from an endangered animal. The only reasons to kill an animal is for self defence or for food dont kill it just to kill it. As for the farms theres not much we can do they have free range cattle where the cows roam free and such and not caged up but the thing is the cattle have been bred over many generations in such a way they cannot give birth in the wild and will die off. Theres a catch 22 to that right there.

Vegans misrepresent evidence that red meat diet is slightly less healthy than average as evidence that we should stop eating all animal products. This is quite a stretch. In fact, there's hints that lacto-ovo-vegetarians have a more healthy live than complete vegans.

If you are a vegetarian or a vegan, good for you! As long as you don't try to shove your diet for idealistic reasons to everybody else's throats, that's fine or else f**k off :)
