Anti-business policies? Welfare state? What are you even talking about?

Normally businesses donate relatively evenly to both political parties so it turns out to be a wash. The 2010 elections was the first in decades where there was such an extreme tilt in donations in favor of the Republicans, particularly by the Chamber of Commerce.

Shame on the Chamber of Commerce.

Why should they donate money to someone that is demonizing them and blaming everything short of when someone stubs their toe its the Chamber of Commerce's fault? Obama also probably tried to threaten them of donate money to his campaign or else, and the Chamber responded by donating to Republicans because they refuse to allow themselves to be extorted.

It doesn't happen now because?

Accept it, during elections 1/2 of the US people will hate you and the other will like you. This will change nothing.


It is if you then out of nowhere get a multi-million dollar deal with the government just after you donated millions to the candidate.


Bashing for votes is illegal. When you make a donation, you are not voting, you are oppenly participating and promoting a candidate.
