It's not bitterness, I've just known people that have gone to San Fransisco that had a nude individual whom spraypainted himself with gold paint, and claimed he was C3-P0, and they had a long litney of other bizarre things they saw.
When I rode the metro in to Washington, DC one time, there was a guy standing by the elevators yelling over and over to everyone who passed, "I AM NOT CHARLES MANSON!! !"
The thing is, he looked a lot like Charles Manson. He probably gets that a lot, and was just performing a public service letting everyone know. He didn't seem too happy about it, though. Kind of like the people that take your money at toll booths. You think they'd be happy, sitting there all day with people just handing them money...
