Some South Africans were offended by the "Kill the Boer" song

I may be missing the context, or maybe the irony, but I suspect that I would have been rather uncomfortable in that particular place had I been present and understood what the lyrics were about.

At least the boys in the original music video above were simply expressing their appreciation of Asian Girlz, and not thinking about chasing them down with machine guns.

Yeah, most Asians that I know wouldn't be bothered. Most have a good sense of humour, and most Asian men like Asian chicks, too.

Compared to Johnny Rebel, Kill the Boers, probably even Short People, and especially crap like this:

Asian Girlz was really quite mild.

Yo Kraichgauer! Remember how in that other thread I was telling you how hipster racism is a high risk strategy? This is what happens when it goes awry.

Ah, okay. If that's the case, then my only defense for my credulity is that I am a naive Aspie.

Thats because the Young Turks are overly politically correct at times.

If The Young Turks were appauled by the Asian girl song they would be more appauled by this song by bloodhound gang Its a rare song they played it was removed from their album iirc.

Oh, I wasn't saying anything about you, I was just trying to get your attention, since we'd just spoken about this and then this perfect example popped up.

was similarly taken personally by a lot of altitudinally challenged folks. He had intended the song, not as a personal attack on short people, but as a satire on racist attitudes of the day. But, quite a lot of people didn't see it that way and were offended.

I love that song. Proof that good satire doesn't need a disclaimer, except for a short interlude in this case.

Very badass. I can see how the British soldiers felt when they went up against the Zulu.

It is a wonder that Mr. Baron-Cohen never got lynched with some of the stunts that he pulled in the USA. But, in this scene, the crowd loves him enthusiastically.

Last one, awesome music video. Some black dudes steal this kid's basketball and an army of Vietnamese people comes and machetes and machine guns them to death.
