The violence of the extreme Jihadist Muslims is a direct consequence of their religious beliefs.

Islam has yet to undergo the same detoxification than Judaism went throught 1500-2000 years ago. It turns out that getting the sh*t kicked out of them and being dispersed to far away lands has lead to an alteration of Judaism which has made it much more tractable adaptable to living among strangers. This changes has yet to happen to Islam.

Though pacifism certainly worked for everyone from Thomas Aquinas, to Martin Luther, to Gandhi, to Martin Luther King Jr. Sometimes not returning the slap in the face will get you killed, other times, it'll get you want you want.

4 crusades. Unless you don't count Roman Catholics as Christians.

The Church Militant has been as brutal and cruel as the Jihadis.

The Church has also treated dissenters just as badly as Muslim extremist treat people who falter in their faith. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! And look what happened to Bruno and Galileo.

other than that i think you should read up on established history, muslim countries have been the center of mathematics, science and free relgious practice at a time where the inquisition were burning people at the stake in europe.
that later changed but i doubt it had as much to do with religion as it did the rise of science.

Anyways, something happened in Muslim countries that caused them to go way downhill.

And around the middle 13 hundreds the religious reactionaries turned out the lights for Islam. Past that time Islamic domains made very few contributions the intellectual wealth of mankind. A very promising beginning was snuffed by religious extremism.

The Jews in the Diaspara were in no position to wield force. They learned to adapt to their difficult environments primarily by being smarter than the Christians who gave them a hard time.

The crusades were also several hundred years ago, everyone that participated in them are deceased, so it is kinda pointless to start blaming modern Christians for the actions of people several hundred years ago.

At the time of the Crusades the Catholic church and the pope led a army that was bringing christendom by force to this day its something many Catholics/Christians often have to deal with as a history of their faith it was a dark era in the history of Christianity.

The Crusades brought tremendous change in the political, economic, and social structures of Europe.

Thats why you cant change history but you learn from it which is why Christians today support Israel.

Uh, 9/11/2001 was 10 years ago, and there have been numerous other terrorist attacks (some were unsuccessful),

Some of your co-religionists are still blaming my co-religionists for the death of Joshuah the son of Joseph and Miriam. This nonsense has been going on for 2000 years and shows no signs of stopping.

When I was a young boy I was routinely beaten by Christians for being a Christ Killer. My solution was to learn how to fight dirty and successfully. That work fine. After I broke some wrists and dislocated the shoulders of my tormentors this anti-Semites stopped picking on me. But first I had to beat the sh*t out of them. I am one Jew-boy who stood and fought.

It is easy for you to say false and foolish things because you have never had to suffer the pain that Christian bigotry causes.
