to justify going from from calling it global warming to calling it climate change. The house of cards is having to re-shuffle the deck.
The point of lead gasoline was, the oil industry had clearly manipulated science to justify their continuation of a dangerous practice.
As for your other point about climate change - I like Misslizard's Batman and Robin explanation the best.
