That was fantastic. They tore him apart at that meeting.

If he doesn't know its over for him by now then he's got serious problems.

It gets me how people can still be in support of this man.

I mean he's taken the people of this country for mugs. He's lied so many times, and that was even before he was in office. And not to mention the awful things he said about the Liverpool supporters after the Hillsborough disaster. This man is an absolute charlatan.

This man is a f*****g disgrace and should never have been allowed to lead our country.

Again it amazes me how people still support him. I've known people to turn against their own kith and kin for less.

One of the most bizarre and spectacular days in politics that I can remember.

It feels like we have some weird hostage negotiation going on where groups of MP's go to Downing Street to talk him down and tell him to leave, and he just keeps refusing.

He even threatened his own party with going to the Queen and asking to dissolve parliament at one point

The 1922 Committee now say they will look to change the rules of how Prime Ministers are chucked out next week just so they can chuck him out. I mean, they want to change the political rule book just so the country is rid of him. And he still doesn't get the hint.

It'll be interesting to see how many more resign now he's said he won't quit.

He seems to be deliberately on a mission to destroy himself and his government. I think he's lost his metaphorical marbles.

Yep, noted thanks - I've merged the later thread in News and Current Events with this earlier one in PPR.

This headline from just a few minutes ago in the Daily Telegraph made me laugh:

"Nadine Dorries: Boris Johnson will continue to deliver".

He's delivering the most unbelievable spectacle in the recent political history of the UK. This is the first time I've regretted not renewing my TV licence.

Up to 50 now, including four Cabinet members (plus Gove who was pushed).

Looks like Johnson might cling on until next Tuesday when the new 1922 committee is elected, changes the rules, and holds a new VONC.

and incredibly he has somehow made into a side issue the fact he has now finally admitted meeting with a KGB agent on his own in Italy with no security alongside him. Something he has always tried to claim never happened.
