For a party that prides itself on being morally superior to everyone else, I wonder why Republican politicians can't control themselves better than they do?

Governor Sanford's wife really isn't such a bad looking woman. I wonder why the Governor wasn't satisfied with her?

So many sexual scandals.

It turns out that our Democratic president is a model family man--for being the head of a party that is supposedly "liberal", "pro-gay" and "anti-traditional values", we have a president who is as conservative and morally upright as anyone possibly can be.

Lying about one's religion doesn't make a person a model family man. And as we all know, Obama is a secret muslim. Ergo, he is just as bad, if not worse than our proud Republican politicians who fell victim to the temptations of sin.

Heh, because he needs to keep the conservatives's vote? <.<

Being a Republican means being a morally-superior hypocrite.

Even Rush Limbaugh was mis-using drugs.

And, many Republican politicians are closet homosexuals.

Obama caused Sanford to have an adulterous affair, according to Rush Limbaugh. Obama has so destroyed hope among Republicans that they are asking themselves why they should bother with life as usual. Liberalism is evil, and it is destroying families. Just ask Rush or Mrs. Sanford.

muslim, srsly? Okay, folks he is protestant, second, unlike the conserative group with "family values" he has never had an affair, a divorce, abused drugs or the ilk. The only people who say he is a muslim is the right wing and the guy who started it was denied entrance to the Illinois BAR for suffering paranoid delusions and delusions of granduer

Unfortunately, there are actual people in the so-called "real world" who still believe that carp about Obama being secretly Islamic, as if religion were a qualifier for the office of the President (although the US Constitution specifically prohibits any religious reqirements for Federal office - and you'd think people proud of their "strict Constitutional interpretation" would have noticed that part), so the smiley could be missed even by someone who knows how to interpret it.

Incidentally, I don't listen to Brash Lamebrain - did he really try to claim that Sanford's affair was Obama's fault???

Please don't use this Muslim crap into politics. I can disagree with Obama but not because of race and religion. Also just because the 9/11 terrorists don't mean s***. Americans and everyone else in the world is capable of the same thing.


Oh and all politicians are guilty. Just look at Bill Clinton and his sex affairs!!

He was critisized during his campaign for his choice of church and pastor. Now just the other day I heard him critisized for not attending church since entering the white house. Maybe we should all just vote on the church he attends and make him a little schedule.

Honestly I can't relate the question. Particularly if your watching what's happening in the white house with the staff appointments, firing of attorney generals, smashing legislation through congress, the fraud and bribery issues going on in Detroit, I'll leave Blago Lecter out of this as he's a freak all his own.

Have you noticed that people do f'd up things in general? I'm not even sure cheating on a wife comes close to embezzling millions of dollars, defrauding city coffers, maybe affairs are a problem when one is using campaign funding to support a mistress and give her hush money, that's a much bigger problem as the public is financing such dalliances.

Well, there is a difference between corruption (where the public is damaged) and an affair (which is mostly a private matter). What is ironic is that for years, one party tried to make private conduct central to evaluating elected officials, and that has backfired on them.
